Myra's 1944 letter to Wendell Wilkie

The University of Indiana holds the Wendell Willkie archives which includes a letter to him from Myra dated 1944.

The Willkie mss., 1934-1945, are the papers of Wendell Lewis Willkie (1892-1944), corporate lawyer and Republican nominee for president in 1940.

[Typewritten Response from April 25, 1944]

April 25, 1944

My dear Mrs. Pinter:

Many, many thanks for your letter of April 7. It was certainly kind of you to write me at this time and I appreciate it much.
I am as firmly convinced as ever about the rightness of the principles for which we fought and shall continue my work to see them realized.
Your generous words and courage mean much and I know that you will understand if I just say thanks and thanks again.

Best wishes.
Cordially,
